Honda CBF1000 All Keys Lost – ECU Immobiliser Key Programming
This Honda CBF1000 came to Gizmoto as an all keys lost job. The customer sent us the complete lock set together with the motorcycle ECU so we could produce working keys without replacing the original immobiliser system.
The first stage was to access the immobiliser information stored inside the ECU. We extracted the required data from the ECU EEPROM and used this information to program a suitable transponder chip to match the motorcycle’s existing immobiliser system.
With no original key available to copy, the mechanical key also had to be produced from the original locks. Using specialist lock-picking and decoding techniques, we determined the internal wafer positions within the lock and generated the correct key-cutting information.
The new key was then cut using our latest CNC key-cutting equipment, allowing the key profile to be reproduced accurately to suit the customer’s original lock set.
Once the key had been cut and the transponder programmed, each supplied lock was checked to confirm that the new key operated correctly.
Work Carried Out
- ECU EEPROM immobiliser data extracted
- Transponder programmed to suit the existing immobiliser
- Original lock decoded using specialist lock techniques
- New key profile generated from the lock wafer positions
- Key cut using CNC key-cutting equipment
- Ignition and supplied locks checked for correct operation
- Original ECU and lock set retained
This type of Honda CBF1000 all keys lost service can often avoid the expense of replacing the ECU, immobiliser components and complete lock set.
