This BMW K1200 gearbox repair came into our Leicester motorcycle workshop with a stiff and difficult gear change, making it hard to select gears correctly.
After initial diagnosis, we removed the gearbox for further inspection. The fault was traced to worn gearbox selector forks, which were preventing the transmission from selecting gears smoothly.
This BMW K1200 gearbox repair was completed using a customer-supplied used gearbox, followed by fitting a new rear tyre and final checks.
While the bike was in the workshop, we also replaced the rear tyre.
